Statement of Operations

The Statement of Operations Dashboard is designed to provide users access to accounting statements at the Fund, Department or Program level, including:
- A recreation of the nVision Statement of Operations report with added filters, measures and flexible formatting.
- Labour Distribution
- Year-over-year reporting matching reports currently available through Hyperion.
- Easy access to individual transactions from Payroll and the GL.
The Statement of Operations Dashboard is intended for many users across the university, including:
- Financial Analysts, Budget Analysts and Coordinators
- Department Administrators
- Managers
- Directors
Access to the Statement of Operations in BI is limited to users with similar access in Mosaic. All users may see all General Ledger data and are not restricted by Department.
Labour Distribution access is limited to Funds, Departments or Programs to which users have been given access.

Access to the Statement of Operations Dashboard in BI is granted automatically based on Mosaic roles. To request access to the Statement of Operations Dashboard, please use the Finance Security eForm (in Mosaic, go to HR and Finance eForms in top center menu, then Finance Position Security tile). See Instructions section for details on completing the eForm.
Access to Labour Distribution reports can be requested by contacting Financial Affairs (Chris Sylvester, sylvest@mcmaster.ca). Please provide your McMaster User ID (MacID), the complete chart field for which you need access (Fund Code, Department Code, Program), and copy your supervisor on the email.
Capital Projects

The Capital Projects Dashboard is designed to provide a capital project reporting solution for Facility Services project managers and administrative staff. This dashboard includes the following features:
- Ability for users to view all capital projects’ financial details, including actuals, budgets, and commitments by activity type
- High level summary of capital projects by project manager, including non-financial characteristics of the project
- Ability to drill into work order details
- The ability to customize reports by applying filters and changing the layout of a report to suit your needs
The Capital Projects Dashboard is intended for Facility Services Project Managers and Administrative Staff.
Access to the Capital Projects Dashboard in BI is based on existing security in Mosaic, specifically, the MCM_PC_PROJMGR security role.
